This museum is fabulous. The past is preserved in an open and accessible way that makes sense. The clear spaces and restrained presentation of the industrial past in the main building is well done and the row of period houses with perfect interiors are wonderful. The museum is also the focus of ongoing education work in the schools and local communities.Highly recommended.
A great day out! Very interesting and so much to learn about Scottish history. There is a tram ride and a underground coal mine tour. Really fun!
Great place to take the kids, makes the industrial history enjoyable as well as informative. There's a short team ride which the kids love. It's also free to visit and park.
A great place to take the kids lots of historical things to see, ride a tram and explore the different housing cottages decorated in the different time era's. Inside and outdoor play parks and lovely walks around the grounds. Easy to get to by train or car. A great day out.
